Who's behind the wheel?

My apologies for my lack of posts as of late. I have been meaning to share the latest instalment by Dior, following on from the enigmatic Secret Garden, combining a Depeche Mode soundtrack and my passions; Art and Fashion 

The Château de Versailles is an emblem of Dior’s tradition and hosts a new tale which brings to life the Dior Autumn 2013 collection by Raf Simons.

“Le Déjeuner sur l’Herbe” by Edouard Manet is the inspiration behind this film. Manet was rejected by the Paris Salon and often confused for Monet (similar surnames and styles), Manet pioneered Realism and Impressionism, and his painting notably “Le Déjeuner sur l’Herbe” and "Olympia" have been considered catalysts to the Modern Art movement.

Gay Town

A short film documenting James Franco's second show at Peres Projects in Berlin, finishing on Saturday 9th March 2013. Franco uses diverse mediums to explore his personal and working life in Hollywood, an autobiographical show. I hope this tours or to one day see Franco's show in person.

Heide Museum of Contemporary Art in Melbourne Australia is currently exhibiting Louise Bourgeois Late Works until 11 March 2013. Internationally renowned Parisian Artist highly regarded as a pioneer working with a myriad of mediums including sculpture, illustration, textiles, print, paint, for female artists a true pioneer and inspiration. The below is on show as part of the "What is the shape of this problem?" work c. 1999

This particular piece resonates with me at the moment...

Be sure to invest a day at the Heide, to visit not only the gallery but also the sculpture park and gardens.
